Challenge

Challenge

A concept packaging design for Bluebonnet Nutrition Vitamins. Our challenge was to create a new logo design, packaging, and also incorporate the use of a die line. Our concept target market wanted a product that looked good even on their kitchen counters and wasn't as a pharmaceutical as other vitamin brands on the market.

Illustrations

Illustrations

Inspired by botanical illustration, I created watercolor illustrations that were then brought into photoshop and made into "Bitmap-Tiff" files. A technique I learned from one of my professors, Junichi Tsuneoka, the illustrations became scalable for the packaging prototype in which I constructed after the printing phase.

The Process

The Process

I chose to go with metal streamlined tin cans and a reusable muslin bag inside the container to hold vitamin powder. I also designed the die line and packaging design for the outer shell which included a bamboo spoon for the vitamin powder.
