Logo Design

Challenge

Logo and brand collateral designed for the website developer, Dennis Chong. Noticing his business beginning to take off, he asked me to design his company, Ironworx Co.'s brand identity including a logo that would be used in both print and digital formats, and business cards that matched his unique brand's services.

Setting the Mood

With every client, I created and designed an invoice and proposal to send over, while also providing an initial welcome package
that included my pricing and services in the document. I also included and created a thorough client questionnaire utilizing Google's platform to find out more about the project scope and his target market before jumping into the design. Once all the client preparation steps were complete, I then began to move into the creative thinking stage.

I always like to start with a mood board and collaborate with them on finding images that translate their personal brand.

Process

After discussing this with Dennis, I got the go ahead to beginning focusing on the logo design. I believe that logo designs should always start on paper, and that was exactly how I began. Most of them were rough and really to wrap my head around what I was trying to communicate. After about 100 thumbnails to get going, I will move into building multiple variations to show my client in the next stage of logo development. Here are a few examples shown below for my logo design project with Dennis.

Final Design

With every client, I like to give them an entire logo design kit that they can use throughout print and digital applications in their marketing materials and online presence. I always provide multiple file formats in both RGB and CMYK formats of the logo design, and also include social media icons sized to the right optimized dimension and image quality for the web. In addition, they receive the print-ready files already prepared for most print shops but I like to set my clients up with my most favorite print platform for great business cards, Moo.com. Here is a look at a few completed logo designs and the final business card design.
